PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A Y-DNA PROJECT. TESTING YOUR MITOCHONDRIAL OR AUTOSOMAL DNA WILL NOT WORK FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS PROJECT. WE CANNOT USE THE RESULTS OF THE FAMILY FINDER TEST, THE AncestryDNA TEST, OR THE 23andME TEST.
If you have already gotten your Y-DNA tested by Relative Genetics, Sorenson Molecular Genealogy Foundation, Ancestry.com, Oxford Ancestors, DNA Heritage or one of the other DNA testing companies, you can join this project by sending your Y-DNA test results and Phillips pedigree to the project's volunteer administrator, Nancy Kiser. Use our contact form to contact Nancy Kiser with your details: such as the your company tested at, type of test and a brief Phillips Pedigree.
When you join the Phillips DNA Project, your Y-DNA and Phillips family tree will be analyzed for free to determine whether or not you fit into one of the more than eighty Phillips family groups that have already been established through Y-DNA analysis. It is also possible that you will match one of the over 100 Phillips singletons who have not yet found a Phillips match, thereby establishing a new Phillips family group.

Please refer to the ISOGG Y-DNA STR testing chart to view a current list of companies who preform Y-DNA STR marker testing. Over the years, companies referenced above have merged, been bought out or shut down. In addtion, some companies may have discontinued offering Y-DNA testing and removed their results. If you have a printed hard copy of these results, they can still be used as a comparison.
