Here is a link to an article written by Ken Cuthbertson in 2008 about Kate Middleton's family tree.  It seems that Kate may actually be a distant cousin to Prince William on her father's side of the family! 

Although the unknown child was incorrectly identified twice before, researchers believe they have now conclusively determined through DNA analysis that he was Sidney Leslie Goodwin from England.  Click here to read more about it in LiveScience.
