Death of W.R. Phillips

Wm. R. Phillips died at the residence of his father, Rev. G. J. Phillips, last Wednesday night, and his remains were laid to rest in the city cemetery Thursday afternoon. He was conscious up to the time of his death, and perfectly resigned. He was a member of the Methodist church and died in the faith. He was a lawyer by profession, but of late, owing to declining health, had given up his practice. He was about thirty-five years of age and had never married. Peace to his ashes.
