MR. NATHAN PHILLIPS, TIFTON.

Mr. Nathan Phillips died at his home at Edgewood Wednesday morning at 7:25 after being confined to his bed for seven weeks with tuberculosis. Mr. Phillips had not been strong for many years but it was only within the last few weeks that his illness reached the acute stage.

Mr. Phillips came to Tifton from Macon about twelve years ago. He was a house painter by trade and was well known through this section.

He leaves a wife and three children: John, aged about 17; Jody about 14 and Effie, about 10.

Mr. Phillips has two brothers in Macon, one of whom, Lee, was at his bedside when the end came. Mrs. Phillips is in a very weak, nervous condition. Her sister in Cordele has been advised of her bereavement.


MR. PHILLIPS BURIED.

Mr. N. Phillips, who died at his home at Edgewood Wednesday morning at 7:25, was buried at New River cemetery Wednesday afternoon at 5 o’clock.

Mrs. Phillips’ sister arrived from Cordele in time for the funeral but Mr. Phillips’ sister from Jacksonville did not reach Tifton until Wednesday night.
