Mr. Phillips Died Tuesday
Joe Bennett Phillips, 68, of Route 2, Wadesboro, died Tuesday, February 20, 1979, in the Anson County Hospital.
A native of Anson County, he was the son of the late Charlie and Nancy Williams Phillips and was born June 10, 1910.
His funeral will be held today (Thursday) at 3 p.m. at the Church of God on North Greene Street in Wadesboro.
Interment will follow in Jowers Cemetery.
Mr. Phillips was a retired employee of Little Cotton Manufacturing Company.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Henriett William Phillips of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Nancy) Allen of Ansonville; and three grandchildren.
Also surviving are one brother, Jack Phillips of Lilesville and one sister, Mrs. Julia Meachum of Wadesboro.
Moore Funeral Home in Wadesboro is in charge of arrangements.
