Rev. Rufus Beacon Phillips, born in Missouri, Oklahoma resident since childhood. Rev. Phillips was an active Minister in the area for over 50 years. He died Sunday at the age of 87 in his home after a short illness. Survived by wife Millie Phillips; 3 sons, Donald, Walter, and John, all of OKC; 4 daughters, Doris Foley of Bakersfield CA, Lorraine Carter of McLoud, Edna Bacon of Dallas; Betty Tootle of Tuttle; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many, many friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 12, at Ben V. Hunter, burial in Gracelawn Cemetery, Edmond.
