Funeral services for Gorham Pratt Phillips were held at 3:30 Sunday, October 19, in the chapel of Fisher Funeral Home. Mr. Phillips died unexpectedly Friday morning in downtown Cochran.

The ministers officiating were Rev. Allen B. Johnson and Rev. Victor R. Myrick. Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Phillips is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Cliff Corley, Jr. of Palm Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Fred Schroeter of Long Island, N.Y.; his mother, Mrs. Lula Phillips; and three sisters, Miss Ima Lee Phillips and Mrs. Ferdinand Godfrey both of Cochran; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The Pallbearers were W.T. (Dixie) Harrell, Russell Harrell, Charlie Jones, Earl Phillips, Eugene Lister and James Pitts.
