Died.
Mr. E.F. Phillips died this noon at the home of his sister, Mrs. F.H. Clark, at the age of 56. Mr. Phillips was taken sick at his home in Gulfport, Miss., where he has been connected with the lumber interests for several years. About two weeks ago Dr. Clark made a hurried trip there and brought him home with him, hoping that the change in climate would assist in his recovery, but he grew gradually worse and passed away in spite of all that medical skill and splendid nursing could do. The funeral will be held at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Clark Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. and the remains laid to rest here.
