Charles Phillips Dies in Alabama
News of the death of Charles J. Phillips, 45, of Glencoe, Ala., reached here today. Mr. Phillips, who died in a local hospital in Glencoe at 5:45 p.m. Sunday, was a native of Floyd County. He was in declining for the past two years.
Surviving are his widow, the former Miss Bonnie Ruth Martin of Cave Springs; a daughter, Mrs. Everett Chamblee; three sons, Charles E., Joe Allen, and Jerry Phillips, all of Glencoe; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Phillips, formerly of Cave Springs; two brothers and four sisters.
Mr. Phillips was a member of the Glencoe Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Glencoe Church. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
