TX: Noel W. Phillips (1909-1988); s/o Sidney Vernon Phillips

BAY CITY—Noel W. Phillips, 79, of Blessing died Monday in a Bay City hospital.

A native of Thornton, he was born Feb. 14, 1909, to the late Sidney and Mary Ann Taylor Phillips. He had been a resident of Blessing since 1980 and was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a. m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Blessing with the Rev. Ron Lynn and the Rev. John Tripp officiating. Burial will follow in Hawley Cemetery under the direction of Taylor Brothers Funeral Home.

Surviving are his wife, Jimmie Eads Phillips of Blessing; a son, Dennis Noel Phillips of Blessing; a sister, Mildred Autrey of Brazoria; two brothers, Homer T. Phillips of Blessing, E. T. Phillips of Francitas; and one grandchild.
