Thomas Covington "T.C". Phillips, 90, of Albemarle passed away Tuesday April 22, 2014 in Stanly Regional Medical Center. His funeral service will be 2 PM Friday, April 25, 2014 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Nathan Fox and Rev. Donald Ray Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Stanly Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM on Thursday evening at Stanly Funeral Home. Born April 14, 1924 in Albemarle, NC he was the son of the late France Washington Phillips and Mary Lee Boswell Phillips and was a retired employee of Wiscassett Mills. He was a member of Congregational Christian Church and a veteran of the US Air Force having served in WWII. His wife Hazel Brown Parker Phillips preceded him in death August 26, 2011.Survivors include daughter Teresa P and husband Craig of Albemarle, sister Ruby of Albemarle, grandson Thomas r and wife Salem of Albemarle, and 2 great-grandchildren Holden and Madelyn. The family requests that memorials be made to Congregational Christian Church, 1119 Carolina Ave, Albemarle, NC 28001 or to the charity of the donors choice
