Brenda Gale (Gibson) Phillips

CASON - Brenda Gale Phillips, 61, of Cason died Wednesday, July 7, 2010, in Pittsburg.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 10, at First Assembly of God Church in Hughes Springs with the Rev. Scott Darby and the Rev. Benny Womble officiating. Interment will follow at Blevins Cemetery in Cason under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc.
Mrs. Phillips was born on July 29, 1948 in Atlanta, the daughter of Jeff Gibson and Irene Wilson Gibson. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Hughes Springs, the Volunteer Fire Department in Cason and the Volunteer Ambulance Service in Daingerfield. She was also a girl's softball coach.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Bobby Phillips of Cason; one son and daughter-in-law Kevin and Kathy Phillips of Avinger; two daughters and one son-in-law Geanene and Anthony McGregor of Omaha and Tammy Phillips of Cason; 12 grandchildren; one brother Jerry Clark of Quitman; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law Danny and Donna Phillips; one sister-in-law Pam Branum of Arlington; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother Kenneth Gibson and one sister Linda Gibson.

Mrs. Phillips will lie in state on Friday, July 9. and the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home in Hughes Springs.
