PITTSBURG - Frances Phillips, 91, of Pittsburg died Monday, Sept. 28, 2009, in Pittsburg.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Duane Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Paul Richardson, Philip Richardson, Dillon Richardson, Sergio Nahuelquir, Erick Landeros, David Johns, and David Phillips. Honorary pallbearers are Jonny Brett, Jared Brett, Wesley Richardson, Tristan Richardson, Colton Cook and Aaron Tossey.
Mrs. Phillips was born on Aug. 19, 1918, in Henderson County,the daughter of Carl and Attis Mae Allen Adams. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church,where she played the piano almost 50 years.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Susan Phillips of Pittsburg; and a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jerry Richardson of Pittsburg; and six grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and three brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Opal Adams, Milton and Margie Adams, and Lloyd and Ione Adams, all of Tyler; and an aunt and uncle, Virginia and Doug Magee of Tyler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C. T. Phillips; a son, Edwin Larkin Phillips; her parents; and a brother, Taul Bryan Adams.
