MOUNT VERNON - Jo Phillips, 80, of Mount Vernon died May 30, 2009, in Tyler. Services will be held Tuesday, June 2, at 3 p.m. at the Harvey Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Vernon, with Rev. Pete Adrian officiating. Pallbearers will be her nephews. Interment will follow in the City Cemetery.

She was born Sept. 20, 1928, in Cumby to Albert Helm and Elizabeth Massey Helm.
She is survived by husband Deryl Phillips of Mount Vernon; children Belita Lumen of Saltillo, Deryl Phillips Jr. of Spring, Priscilla Venza of Beaumont and Stephen Phillips of Webster; ten grandchildren; five-great grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Phillips of Hewitt.

Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
