Easter Phillips, 96, of Mount Pleasant, died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, at her residence.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8 at Gladewater Cemetery with Bro. Al Baker officiating. Interment is under the direction of Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home.
Mrs. Phillips was born on April 12, 1914, in Batesville, Ark. the daughter of Mardica J. Dyke and Sara Elizabeth Duncan. She was a homemaker and attended Harris Chapel.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rusty and Barbara Phillips of Mount Pleasant; grandchildren, Connie Lunsford, and Joe Phillips and spouse Wendy, all of Mount Pleasant; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Mornson and spouse Andy, Jacob and Eric Lunsford, Will, Ryan, and Sara Phillips, Leslie Robertson, and Megan McFarland, all of Mount Pleasant; and one great-great-grandchild, Kylan Lunsford.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
