Death of Joe Phillips
Former Master Mechanic of A.C.L. Has Passed Away.
Savannah, May 24.-The funeral of Mr. Joe Phillips who died on Monday at his residence on Henry street, east, will take place this afternoon. It will no doubt be largely attended as Mr. Phillips was well known and well liked in Savannah. He was a prominent mason, and Knight Templar and was known to almost everyone in the city.

For many years he was Master Mechanic of the Coast Line Ry., in Savannah, serving in that capacity in the days of the old Plant System and other roads that preceded it in Savannah.
