Sad Casualty.-On the morning of 30th ult. Mr. C. Buckley, (son of the late Judge C.W. Buckley,) accidentally shot himself, inflicting a mortal wound. He, with several friends, on a deer hunt, camping out; and on the morning in question, rose earlier than his companions, for the purpose of wiping out one of the barrels of his gun - the other being loaded. Whilst engaged in this operation, the ramrod which he was using became fastened in the barrel, and not wishing to disturb his sleeping companions, placed his gun in the forks or crotch of a tree, the muzzle towards him. In endeavoring to extract the ramrod, he drew the gun towards him, bringing the hammer of the loaded barrel in contact with something that caused the fatal discharge - shooting off the fingers of each hands, and entering the abdomen, penetrated to the spine. He survived but a few hours, enduring the most excruciating torture. He was an estimable young man, and his death deeply lamented. - Richmond Signal, 7th inst.
