In Alabama.
-James R. Phillips, of Huntsville has filed a suit in the Circuit Court of that place against the Memphis and Charleston railroad, placing his damages at $30,000. Mr. Phillips’ daughter, Amanda O. Phillips, was put off the train at Madison station on September 21st last by order of the quarantine officers of the road and died at that place the following day. Mr. Phillips brings the suit as her administrator.
