Funeral for Ernest Levi Phillips, 73, of Cleveland was held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland with interment in the Cleveland City Cemetery.

Officiating was the Rev. Norman Busby of the Open Bible Fellowship.

Mr. Phillips died Monday in a Cleveland hospital.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Velma Phillips of Cleveland; two sons, Leon Phillips of Pasadena and John Phillips of Cleveland; five daughters, Mrs. B.W. Petty of Nacogdoches, Mrs. Horace Beshea and Mrs. Thelma Phillips of Pasadena, and Miss Mary Phillips and Mrs. Velma Bledsoe of Cleveland; a brother, Lazzie Phillips of Houston; 24 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

Grandsons were pallbearers.

Pace-Stancil Funeral Home of Cleveland directed arrangements.
