JACK A. PHILLIPS, 87, of Pasadena went to be with the Lord, Saturday, September 9, 2006.

He was born June 21, 1919 in Plantersville, TX. Jack was a faithful member of St. Hyacinth Catholic Church in Deer Park. Jack served in the Navy during WWII, after his military service he played minor league baseball for Shell Oil Co. and continued working for them for 30+ years before retiring in 1981. His interests included gardening, watching the Astro's, NASCAR, UT football, and PGA golf,. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family and especially his great-grandchildren.

His loving wife of 50 years, Catherine Phillips; two sons, Aidan Phillips, and an infant son, Richard, precede Jack in death.

Jack is survived by his daughter, Lisa Stanczak; sisters, Sister Francis Joseph, Francis Wakefield; brothers, Ben Phillips, Tony Phillips; four grandchildren, James Stanczak and wife Angie, Bryon Stanczak and wife Tiffenie, Wesley Phillips, and Crystal Phillips; seven great-grandchildren, Jacob, Daisy, Michael, Dameon, Elijah, Adalinn, Alex, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral mass of resurrection will be 10:30 AM Tuesday, September 12, 2006, at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church in Deer Park, TX, 2921 Center St., Deer Park, TX 77536. Burial will follow at Forest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, September 11, 2006, at Forest Park Lawndale from 5:00 to 9:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:30 PM.
