DESPERATELY SEARCHING FOR ANY INFORMATION ON MY GG GRANDFATHER MORTIMOR J PHILLIPS
BORN US MID 1860'S AND RESIDED IN KINGS COUNTY BROOKLYN AND UNION NEW JERSEY.
HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND ANY INFO ON HIS DEATH (RESIDED WITH HIS SON NELSON PHILLIPS IN 1930'S)
WHATEVER ASSISTANCE YOU CAN PROVIDE WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

I can only find one person on the 1880 census who seems likely to have been your gggrandfather. He is living in Palisade, Bergen Co, NJ. Here is the citation:

Mortimer Philip 32 born abt 1848 NY
Ann Philip 35 wife born abt 1845 Ireland
William Philip 10 son born abt 1870 NY
Charles Philip 8 son born abt 1872 NY
Mortemer Philip 7 son b abt 1873 NY
John Philip 4 son b abt 1876 NY
Mary Philip 1 daughter b abt 1879 NY
