Stella Phillips, 87, of Blessing, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2002, at her residence. Stella was born on July 31, 1914 in Bay City to parents Frank H. and Rebecca Tolleson Rickaway. She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Blessing.
She is survived by: sons and daughters-in-law, David and Debbie Phillips of Tidewater Oaks and Gary and Debbie Finch of Blessing; brothers, Steve Rickaway of Blessing and Curtis Rickaway of Jones Creek; and sister Ada Baker of Lake Jackson, also by three grandchildren, Barry, Carrie, and Molly Phillips as well as a number of other relatives.
Visitation was held at the Bay City Funeral Home on Saturday from 3-9 p.m. Funeral services are Sunday, March 3, 2002 at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Blessing with the Rev. Larry Swift officiating. Interment followed at Hawley Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Bay City Funeral Home.
