Mary Ella Phillips, 87, a resident of Albuquerque since 1949, died Thursday, March 30, 2000, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's Disease.

Mary was born on December 7, 1912, in Velasco, TX to Bobo Woodruff and Gertrude Mae Carter Woodruff.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Noel (Tina) Banks and husband, Charles (Chuck) and their daughter, Tiffany; and daughter, Rita Berry and her daughter, Jessica.

She was preceded in death by her son, Kyle C. Phillips, Jr., leaving his wife, Betty and family.

Mary was a member of Heights Christian Church. She had been a member of San Marcial Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star since 1957. She was one of the first female Real Estate Brokers in Albuquerque and retired from her business in 1974, at which time she was able to realize her dream of world travel.

Services will be held Monday, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University NE, with Pastor Lynn Taylor officiating. Private entombment will take place.

Pallbearers will be Don Davis, Pete Espinosa, Tony Deck and Louis Kerschion.

Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Sunday, 3:00 p.m. to 500 p.m.

Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1330 San Pedro NE, Suite 205, 87110.
