Sues Company on Accident Policy.
Mrs. Alice Burk filed suit Monday morning in the Tenth District Court against the Maryland Casualty Company, of which Homer R. Mitchell at Houston is alleged to be agent, to recover the sum of $5,000 contained in an accident insurance policy issued to her husband, William J. Burk, who died on March 28 of burns received.

It is sought to recover the amount of the policy, $5,000, together with 12 percent additional as damages, and the sum of $3,000 as a reasonable compensation for attorneys.

W.J. Burk was burned at his home on March 27 by the explosion of an oil heater while he was in the bathroom. He was badly burned about the chest and died the next day at John Sealy Hospital.
