The remains of Mrs. Olevia Phillips, wife of Capt. Louis J. Phillips, reached home by train on Tuesday last. Mrs. Phillips died at the Virginia Hospital in Richmond, on last Monday from septic infection following a surgical operation. She was the daughter of Mr. Wm. P. Goffigan, a citizen formerly well known in lower Accomac. Two sisters, Mrs. J. T. Ashby and Miss Anna Goffigan and one brother, Mr. William Goffigan, Jr. survive her. She was a most excellent lady, and had attached to herself many warm friends. Her untimely death, following so closely upon the drowning of Mr. Lance Hartman cast a gloom over the neighborhood. Mr. Bernard LeCato, a medical student of the University School of Medicine, accompanied the remains home.
