Mrs Louis Phillips, Pioneer Woman of Pomona, Is Buried.

Funeral services for Mrs. Louis Phillips, 69 years old, a pioneer resident of Pomona, were held in that city today.

Mrs. Phillips went to Pomona more than half a century ago, after crossing the continent with an ox-team. She and her parents settled in San Bernardino, but she married Phillips almost immediately and they established themselves on a vast ranch west of Pomona, where they developed thousands of acres of ranch land.

Mrs. Phillips was one of the most prominent and philanthropic women of the districL She and her husband were among the wealthiest ranchers of the section as well.
