DEATH OF WM. QUALLS.—We make the following extract from a letter received the first part of this week by Mr. Thos. Bundy, of this city:
Red BLUFF, Sept. 19, 1863.
" We have to mourn the loss of our much respected brother, WM. QUALLS, who died in this town to-day, 19th inst."
[The late Mr. Wm. Quails had resided in San Francisco, and for a long time worked at his trade as a barber and hair dresser, in the popular establishment of Mr. George Wood, on Clay st. After it changed proprietorship, two years ago, he moved to Red Bluff, where he has resided until his sudden demise. He was an exemplary man in his conduct, and was over fifty years of age. He had been more than 25 years a member of the Baptist Church, and was also a member of the Masonic Fraternity. He came to this city from Buffalo, N.Y., and was highly respected by all classes. He leaves a wife at Red Bluff, and a number of relatives (the Phillips family) in this city. —Ed.]
