MRS. DAVID PHILLIPS

After suffering for thirteen weeks with a fractured hip, Mrs. Catherine Phillips, aged 83 years, died at the home of her nephew, Dr. T. C. Miller in Abbottstown Saturday afternoon at 3:15 o'clock.

Mrs. Phillips was a resident of East Berlin, where November 8, while walking in her home she tripped over the carpet and fell, fracturing her left hip. She was then taken to Abbottstown to the home of Dr. Miller, where she was cared for until her death.

She was the widow of the late David Phillips, who died about thirty-five years ago.

The funeral will be held Tuesday forenoon at 9:30 o'clock from the Miller residence. The body will be taken to East Berlin and interred in the Lutheran cemetery. There will be services at the house and at the church conducted by Rev. Frederick Sternat.
