William Rusk Phillips

Graveside services for William Rusk Phillips, 71, of Ammons Bridge Road, Monroe, were held at Mt. Vernon Christian Church Cemetery Aug. 19. Rev. Stein Skjorshammer of Bostwick officiated, assisted by Rev. Wilson Donehoo of Good Hope.

Mr. Phillips died August 16 at Walton County Hospital.

He was a retired shop foreman with Winn Dixie, Atlanta. Mr. Phillips retired following 28 years of employment with the company.

Survivors include a son, Charles W. Phillips, Charlotte, N. C.; stepson, Richard Shepherd, Miami, Fla., stepdaughter, Mrs. Gail Beauman, Miami; sister, Mrs. Vivian McElroy, Monroe; brothers, Macon Phillips, Monroe, Howell Phillips, Tampa, Fla.; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Charles Phillips, Charlotte; stepson-in-law, John Beauman, Miami; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Macon Phillips, Monroe, Mrs. Howell Phillips, Tampa; three grandchildren, four step-grandchildren.
