JOHN B. PHILLIPS
John B. Phillips, 59, of Sanford, Florida, died April 25, 1974 at a hospital in Sanford. Services were held at a funeral home chapel in Sanford and burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
He was a first cousin of Mrs. Oroma C. Carnes. A native of Buford, Georgia, he had lived in Sanford for the past 48 years.
He was a member of The First Baptist Church and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers of America. He was employed by Florida Power and Light Company, retiring in 1972
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Helen Phillips of Sanford; a son, J. B. Phillips, Atlanta; daughter, Mrs. Brenda Thacker, Sanford; four grandchildren, two sisters and two brothers.
