Mrs. Pantha Phillips Died Sunday

Mrs. Pantha Elizabeth Phillips died here Sunday after a short illness, and funeral services were held Monday at Providence Methodist church. Mrs. Phillips was 75 years of age, and one of the city's oldest and best known citizens. The funeral services were held at 2 o'clock, and interment took place in the Providence cemetery.

She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hilman Phillips. One son survives, Mr. D. H. Phillips of Forest City. Two brothers, Landrum Phillips of Caroleen and J. W. Phillips of Henrietta survive, also one sister, Martha Jane Vickers, of Forest City. Mrs. Phillips was a member of the Providence Methodist church, where she joined a number of years ago, and had been a consistent and faithful member since affiliating with that church.

Rev. W. A. Barber, of Spindale, and Rev. R. P. Fikes were in charge of the funeral service. The pall bearers were Messrs. Henry Carson, Linder Vickers, Garmen Phillips, Fred McDaniel, Edgar Williams and H. C. Vickers. The flower bearers were Misses Pearl Williams, Ethel Phillips, Lillian Phillips, Bernice Phillips, Jeanette Phillips, Vera Parker, Nellie Vickers, and Alma Vickers.
