Henry N. Phillips, Aged Dundeeite, Succumbed Sun.
Final rites for Henry Newton Phillips, 85, retired farmer of Dundee who died Sunday morning at his home, were conducted Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Dundee Baptist Church.
The body was taken to Tioga for burial under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home. Rev. R. H. Williams, pastor of Dundee Baptist Church, officiated and pallbearers were grandchildren.
Phillips has 143 survivors, including 83 great-grandchildren. He was born in Carroll County, Ga., and resided in Dundee 41 years.
Survivors are his wife, seven sons, Ezra and Lee Phillips of Dundee, Hamp Phillips of Henrietta, Rufus Phillips of Holliday, Lester Phillips of Borger, Sam Phillips of Fort Worth and Guymon Phillips of Borger; three daughters, Chloe Scroggins of Tioga, Mrs. Susie Capps and Mrs. Annabel Stegall of Dundee; 50 grandchildren and 83 great-grandchildren.
