OBITUARY:
Phillips Rites Held Thursday

Sim Phillips, 79, died Tuesday in a Dallas Hospital.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. in Cooper and burial was in the Aiguier cemetery at Addran.

Mr. Phillips was the son of the late Sam and Rebecca Phillips. He married Ida May Griffin.

Survivors include four sons, Arvil Phillips of Roosevelt, Okla., Sammy Phillips of Dallas, Troy Phillips of Florence, Miss., and Otis of Grand Prairie; four daughters, Mrs. Ed Webb and Mrs. Ollie Johnston of Dallas, Mrs. Milton Burrer of Kerrville and Mrs. K. P. McFarland of Longview; two brothers, John Phillips of Sulphur Springs and Virgil Phillips of Childress; 33 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Delta Funeral Home of Cooper was in charge of arrangements.
