OBITUARY:
Phillips
Sammie L. Phillips, 71, of Irving died here Monday.

Services were at 2 p.m. today at Lone Oak United Methodist Church at Lone Oak. Burial was in Donelton Cemetery at Lone Oak.

Phillips had been retired for several years.

Survivors include his wife, Dovie Ann Phillips of Irving; three sons, Warren L. Phillips, Libern Crag Phillips and Robin G. Phillips, all of Irving; five daughters, Sammy Earlene Coleman of Mabank, Patsy Ruth Johnson of Lone Oak, Wilma Jo Davila of Farmers Branch, Wanda Jane Averitt of Irving and Dot Ann Barksdale of Dallas; two brothers, C. O. Phillips of Kemp and Troy Phillips of Tyler; three sisters, Geraldine McFarlin of White Oak, Lois Burrer of Kerrville and Sybil Johnson of Irving; 23 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
