PHILLIPS-At Salina, Kan., Sunday, March 10, 1901, of carcinoma, Mrs. Maud Cushman Phillips, aged 27 years, 2 months, and 5 days.

Mrs. Phillips has been a sufferer of cancer, having had two operations without permanent relief. One of them about a year ago.

She was born on the farm of her father, A.W. Cushman, one of the oldest settlers in this district. Went to school in Longmont; married Henry R. Phillips at Boulder, Feb. 23, 1894. They have resided in Kansas most of the time since.

The remains were brought to Longmont by H.R. Phillips and placed in the care of F.R. Shaw & Co. on Monday, the funeral occurring Tuesday morning.
