Funeral for Frank W. Phillips, Sr., 89, of Route 1, Box 80-A, Mount Enterprise, will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in First Methodist Church in Mount Enterprise with Rev. Gene Webb, pastor, officiating, assisted by Rev. Norman Garrett, Methodist minister.

Interment will be in Old Prospect Cemetery.

Mr. Phillips died Thursday, Oct. 20, 1988, in North Place Nursing Home.

Born Sept. 20, 1899, in Rusk County, he was the son of O.E. and Vandella Bowers Phillips. He was a retired farmer and a member of First Methodist Church in Mount Enterprise.

Mr. Phillips and Tennie G. Mayfield were married in 1918, and she survives him.

Also surviving are three sons, Buel Phillips of El Paso, Clarence Phillips of Geronimo, Ohio, and Frank W. Phillips, Jr. of Baytown; a daughter, Louise Riggs of Burton; a sister, Percy Fleniken of Nacogdcohes; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Grandchildren will be pallbearers.

Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors will be in charge of arrangements.
