Funeral services for Jasper John Phillips, 50, will be held Friday afternoon, March 23, at 1 o'clock in the Cason, Monk and Company Funeral Home chapel, with R.D. Necker, minister of the Seventh Day Adventist church officiating. Interment will be in the Union Springs cemetery.
Mr. Phillips died Wednesday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock in the City Memorial hospital.
He was born Dec. 2, 1905, in DeRidder, La., the son of Martha Austin and Jasper John Phillips, Sr., and was married Jan. 2, 1936 to Clara Ruby Jenkins, who survives him.
A resident of Route 6, Nacogdoches, Mr. Phillips was employed by the Sam Kendrick Car Lot, as a mechanic.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Clara Ruby Phillips of Nacogdoches; mother, Mrs. Martha Phillips of DeRidder, La.; three daughters, Rever Joyce, Doris DeLoris and Patsy Elaine Phillips, all of Nacogdoches; two sisters, Katie Phillips and Charity Phillips, both of DeRidder La.; three brothers, Fate Phillips of Lake Charles, La., Allison Phillips of DeRidder, La., and Columbus Phillips of Edgley, La.
Pallbearers will be Jasper Jenkins, Lollice Jenkins, Holloway Jenkins, Tommy Jenkins, Jack Barrett and Ted Bell.
Cason, Monk and Company Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
