Well-Known Citizen of Waxahachie Dead

Waxahachie, Tex., July 5.-R.G. Phillips, a resident of Waxahachie for many years, died here this afternoon after an illness of eight months. Mr. Phillips was a native of Marion County, Kentucky and came to Texas in 1861. He was 66 years old. For the last forty years he had been engaged in the abstract business in this city. He is survived by one brother, J.H. Phillips and a sister, Miss Mollie Phillips, The funeral is expected to be held here tomorrow afternoon at 4 o’clock.
