The following obituary appeared in the Arizona Republic on Sunday 3 April, 2011, page B7:

Harry Ashwill Phillips, 81, of Scottsdale, AZ passed away on March 26, 2011. Born in Clarkdale and raised in Phoenix, he attended Harvard University on a scholarship and was a graduate of Harvard Law School. He spent his career as a corporate lawyer in New York City and Houston, Texas. Beloved husband and father, Harry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Fe, his children Harry, Mary, James and Patty and 5 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held July 6, 2011 at Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary.
