Atlanta, Ga., July 23.-As a result of falling from a high chair while seated at the dinner table Sunday, Rosalle Phillips, the 10-months-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.M. Phillips, of 29 Hilliard street, died at the Grady hospital last night about 8 o’clock.
The child, about 1 o’clock Sunday, was sitting in a high chair in its usual place at the family table, when Mrs. Phillips had occasion to leave the room. A few minutes later she returned, and found it on the floor, where it had fallen, striking its head.
A 3-year-old sister of the infant was the only witness to the accident, and she said that the little girl had turned about in its chair, which in some manner, was upset, and the infant thrown to the floor.
A physician was summoned a short time after the accident, and did all in his power to relieve the child’s injuries, and yesterday afternoon at 2 o’clock the infant was taken to Grady hospital. The girl was suffering from a fracture of the base of the skull and an operation was performed, but death resulted about 8 o’clock last night.
The funeral will be held Thursday, the place of interment being announced later.
