Howard Magill Phillips.
It is with the utmost regret that we record the death of Howard Magill Phillips, on March 31, of acute pneumonia. Only forty-eight years old, and in the prime of life, he was associated with his brother, Ryland W. Phillips, in the Phillips Studio, 1507 Walnut Street, Philadelphia. Although his efforts were directed chiefly to the business end of the studio, as a result of which his clientele included many prominent persons, he was an adept photographer, and his death will be rightly regarded as a distinct loss to the profession.
