The following obituary appeared in the Arizona Republic (Phoenix, Arizona, USA) on Saturday 9 April 2011:

Buford Douglas Phillips, 74, of Maricopa, died Wednesday in Louisville. Retired construction manager in the Phoenix area. Survivors include 4 daughters: Rhonda Forsythe, Cherie Springman, Alecia Kollasch and Trinka Hall; mother of his children, Shirley Henderson Torjusen; his father and wife, Wesley and Sue Phillips. Funeral service: 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville, KY.
