Dr. George Marquette Phillips, 77, father of Mrs. Lang Wharton, wife of the executive vice-president of the First National Bank of Dallas, died Monday night in Jacksonville, Fla.

Funeral for Dr. Phillips will be held in St. Louis, Mo., where he formerly practiced. A native of Kentucky, he began practicing in 1894 in St. Louis, nine years after his graduation from the College of Surgeons and Physicians at Baltimore, Md.
