Richard F. Phillips was born on January 2, 1920 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He passed away on April 10, 2011 in Southlake, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years Polly Phillips.
He graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas and went on to receive his BS degree in accounting from Texas A&M. He served as an Army Officer in WWII. In his career as a CPA he worked with Southwest Wheel and El Chico Restaurants. An avid golfer, Richard was a member of River Lake Country Club and played at Stevens Park Golf Course since childhood. He was a longtime member of Tyler Street United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his older son, Rick and his wife, Jackie and their daughter Casey and by his younger son, Don and his wife, Andrea and their children, Kyle, Ashley, Alex and Peter.
A Memorial Service will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Tyler Street UMC, 927 W. 9th St., Dallas 75208. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials to the Tyler Street UMC Memorial Fund.
