Matthew Wayne Phillips, 4/1/59 - 4/14/11 passed away after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
He was born and grew up in Houston and Pasadena with a passion for the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Matt was a talented carpenter in the residential and commercial fields.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tom Phillips, Jr. and his brother Lloyd Phillips.
He is survived by his loving wife, Caron Baker Phillips, his daughter Kai Mason, husband Adam, grandson Cole; stepson Darin McDaniel, wife Amber, grandsons Kaleb and Ryan. He is also survived by his mother Juanita Phillips, sister Jewell Danielli, husband Vick; sister Linda McNabb, husband Don, and brother Ronald Phillips.
A Memorial Service will be held at Grace Point Community Church, 1315 South Dairy Ashford. at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2011. Memorials may be made to Westbury Little League where he watched his grandsons play many games.
