SUGAR HILL - Arlene Anschutz, 86, of Sugar Hill, died Monday, April 27, 2009, in Mount Vernon.
A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 30, at DeShields Cemetery with Bro. Wesley Vandever officiating. Interment is under the direction of Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home.
Mrs. Anschutz was born on Sept. 2, 1922, in Gladewater, the daughter of Sebron Henry Phillips and Cordie Belle (Carlton) Phillips. She was a seamstress and worked for the Sewing Factory. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Windle and Shirley Anschutz of Lindale; a daughter, Diane Anschutz of Sugar Hill; five grandchildren, Mike Randal, Danny Randal, Karen McDon, Justin Anschutz, and Amber Bowins; 17 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pleas Alexander Anschutz; her parents; two brothers and two sisters.
