NAPLES - J. C. Traylor, 91, of Naples died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008, in Mount Pleasant.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Spring Hill Cemetery Church with John Hooten and Richard Castleman officiating. Interment is under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home.
Mr. Traylor was born on Feb. 16, 1917, in Cass County, the son of Francis Marion and Josephine Phillips Traylor. He was a member of Texas Cattlemens Association and served on the board of the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service.

He is survived by two sons, J. Roy and wife Nita Beth Traylor of Naples and Jack Traylor and special friend Theresa of Naples; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Jeff Dalton of Arlington; four grandchildren, Jan Ragland, Jyl Wood, Lynn Burgess and Casey Traylor; 11 great-grandchildren; special friend, Katherine Fletcher; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie Kate Thigpen Traylor; his parents; three brothers and seven sisters.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
