Edwin C. Phillips, 87, of Glendale died peacefully in his home April 27, 2011. Born June 16, 1923 in Kent, Ohio, to Jacob C. and Hattie Bird (Wilmoth) Phillips. He was a WWII Navy veteran. Married his love Gloria June Neiswanger on Aug. 11, 1945. They moved from Ohio to Arizona in 1958. He worked as a machinist for Motorola amd retired from Garrett-AirResearch. During retirement, Ed and June traveled the U.S. full time RVing. He is survived by his 6 children, 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 10 great great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife of over 63 years, Gloria June Phillips (1927-2009), and two grandsons, Jason Christopher Vodika (1974-1991) and Sgt. John "Kyle" Daggett, (1986-2008), U.S. Army Airborne Ranger. A memorial service will be held Saturday May 21, 2011, 2:00 pm at the Glencroft Auditorium, 8641 N. 67th Ave, Glendale, AZ, 85302.
