Funeral for Gen. Phillips
The funeral of Gen. P.J. Phillips, who died of apoplexy Thursday night in Wynnton, was preached yesterday morning at 10 o’clock in the Presbyterian church, by Rev. J.H. Nall. The remains were carried from the church to the cemetery, accompanied by Messrs. Porter Ingram, W.G. Woolfolk, W.J. Watt, Grigsby Thomas, Woolfolk Walker and F.C. Johnson, and followed by relatives and many friends.
