Phillips, Cory L. NEW BALTIMORE, NY Cory L. Phillips, 37, passed away after a courageous battle with leukemia on Monday, May 23, 2011 with his loving family by his side. Cory was a Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk graduate and attended Alfred State University. For 11 years he worked for New York State in the Office of the State Comptroller as an ERSE 5. Cory loved his family, especially spending time with his two boys. He was an avid football fan, especially the Denver Broncos and John Elway. Survivors include his wife, Cindy Grogan Phillips; sons, Cory "CJ" and Colten "Tutt" Phillips; mother, Bonnie (George) Arnold; father, Glen Phillips; siblings, Bonita Hamilton, Glynis (Chris) Stott and Derrick (Sandy) Phillips; and several nieces and nephews. From the family, a special thank you to the staff on 4 McAuley at St. Peter's Hospital. Friends may call at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena on Wednesday, May 25 from 4 to 7 p.m. A graveside service will be held 12 noon Thursday at Chestnut Lawn Cemetery, New Baltimore.
